Raw Almond Milk
Raw Almond Milk
A delicious and healthy alternative to cows milk. Great with cereals, granola, for soaking chia seeds and in coffee. Once you try this you will never buy from the supermarket again!
- 2 Cups Whole soaked almonds ((1 cup before soaking))
- 4 Cups Filtered water ((for blending))
-
Soak the almonds for 8-12 hours in filtered water in a glass bowl or glass jar and cover
-
After soaking, drain the water and leave the almonds to sit for 2-4 hours. This will increase the nutrient content even more
-
Put the almonds in the blender with the filtered water and blend on high speed. We recommend using a Vitamix as this gives superior results and creaminess
-
Strain the nut mixture through a nut bag and store milk in a glass container. Will last up to 3 days in the fridge
-
To make sweet almond milk, pour the finished milk back in to the blender and add either 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup or raw honey or 2-3 medjool dates and a pinch of salt. Blend on high
